Once again featuring Chanel skincare in my blog. If you read any of them, they generally disappoint me. Let's see if this anti-pollution sunscreen is a disappointment!:)

    Claims

    -Moisturizes Skin
    -Primes face for Makeup
    -Best SPF for intense sun.

    Packaging
It has a sleek white packaging with black font. Very minimalistic. You have to squeeze the product out. The bottle itself is pretty small that you can easily throw into your bag to reapply sunscreen.

    Ingredients:
zinc oxide 19, Octinoxate 7.5 Titanium Dioxide 2.5 Inactive Ingredients: cyclopentaxiloxane, zinc oxide (19) , aqua, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate (7.5), alchohol denat, isononyl isonanoate, dipropyleneglcol, glycerin, neopenthyl glycol dicaprate, polymethilsilsesquioxane, polymethyl methacrylate, dimeticone, triethoxycaprylylsilane, PEG-9polydimethylsiloxethl dimethicone, propylene glycol, thocopheryi acetate, butyleneglycol, parfum, hydrolyzed wheat protein, mannitol, dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymere, methylparabean, glycogen, panax ginseng root extract, aesculus hippocastanum eed exract, tilia cordata wood extract, trimethoxycaprylylsilane, sodium citrate, sodium hyaluronate, chlorphenesin, Faex, bht, peg -40 hydrogenated castor oil, glycyrrhiza glabra extract, phenoxyethanol, calcium panthothenate, biotin, butylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben, titanium dioxide.\

    Where To Purchase
    Chanel $55

    Thoughts
Why is this so expensive??? Oh, wait this is Chanel. Gotta pay for the ink that spells out Chanel :D TBH. The sunscreen is lightweight and does have a fragrance that's typical to any Chanel skincare I've tried. I'm not a fan of it as it's overwhelming. A little does go long way. There is a white cast. If you're not a fan of white cast steer clear of this.

Is it worth it? No. Then again I'm a broke human. If I was being honest, I prefer the Missha sunscreen than this one. If you like being bougie and have money to spend. Then buy this I guess?  It's not terrible if you don't mind scents or white cast. It does protect the skin and didn't break me out which is a yay moment. But is it necessary to be dropping $55 on sunscreen? Nope

Ever since I started middle school, I've been blogging. (Granted it was a game blog for a game I was addicted to.) Throughout those 4-5 years that the blog was active, I found joy in blogging. However, as time past by, I stopped playing sed game and of course, stopped blogging. I started this blog to fulfill that desire to blog though I didn't where it would lead me. It's been a year since I started and I'm amazed how far I went and how far I still need to go. This post is dedicated to just that.

How have you grown as a blogger over the past year?
When I started this blog, I didn't know what this blog would be about.
A year ago, I was lost having no idea where this blog would take me. I threw a dice and I ended up in beauty. This blog serves as my growth into the beauty community and has helped me learned so much. I probably wouldn't know what AHA or BHA is if I didn't make a post 'bout it. TBH. Oh, and my product photos have improved in my opinion.

Why did you name your blog "WistfulBeauty"?
The terminology of wistful is the longing for something. WistfulBeauty means the longing for beauty. This described me as a middle schooler.  I got acne earlier than all my peers, so that left me self-conscious. All the rude shiz that people said and hell even certain relative got to me. When I started high school, I started to seriously get into skincare. Plus it sounded better than my previous blog name. OOF THAT WAS A PROCESS JUST TO TRY TO CHANGE IT.

Do you see yourself blogging for another year?
That's a stupid question. If you haven't gotten the vibes of this post, then yes. I hope that I will still have a passion for blogging even after high school and I do hope I post more frequently.

What do you hope to improve in your blogging?
There's too much to list. Getting better at using social media. (All Linked Below) Knowing how to flat layout 'cause those are gorgeous. Having better camera quality. ETC

What do you hope people get out of your blog?
Helpful tips/advice oh and appreciate my shining personality...  ;) (pfft I'm an introvert)

What is your favorite post you did throughout the years and why?
K Beauty Cult Fave: BANILA CO CLEAN IT ZERO REVIEW
The whole process of creating this post was enjoyable. From swatching makeup to the struggle of taking the "perfect photo" of this cleanser
    Fashion WishList Haul
Stalking fashion website actually became helpful. Lol. Take that parents who said I was wasting my life :')
    Skin Food 101: Rice Water
Skin Food 101 was the first series I ever started on my blog. My favorite post I did from it was rice water. Rice= x3 Rice water was something incredible accessible to me as I eat/make it every day. It somehow made a chore more enjoyable. Plus I learned new ways on how to use rice water

What do you wish people did on your blog?
I get comments here and there though I wish there was more engagement. To be clearer, I wanna know if the post was helpful or if I should elaborate on certain things.  This way  I could help better my content.

What would you say to an inspiring blogger?
Don't do it for the wrong reason like money. Yes, I have ads in my blog but I bet more than 70% of you have ad-blocker and of that 30% who don't less than 1% will actually click. Thus why I'm a broke human. Instead of cash, do it cause you have a passion for blogging.

What would you say to your future self?
Buy some cookies and binge eat those. Hope all the best as well

I got this cleanser for my brother who lacks a decent skin-care routine. One thing led to another an I ended up borrowing it and I fell in love. This may be my favorite cleansing foam as it doesn't dry out my skin like most foam cleansers. I'll go more into depth.

    Claims
-features a  natural extract formula using fermented green tea to deliver fresh benefits.
    -exfoliate/cleanse skin of impurities
    -leaves skin moisturized/vitalized
-contains aloe vera which helps reduce irritation/redness.

    .

    Star Ingredient: Green Tea
It has the ability to reduce inflammation and is anti-bacterial. It's a wonderful ingredient if you're struggling with acne.

    Description
Green Tea displayed in the bottom of the cleanser. The green tea is filtered from the rest of the cleanser which I believe is to prevent clogging the pump. The cleanser travels fine. I didn't experience any leaking throughout air travel which is a plus.

    Where To Purchase
    StyleKorean
    YesStyle

    Accessibility
I've seen the cleanser around the city quite often (compared to other K-Beauty product) You can easily find this on display at your local Sephora. Though if you don't have a Sephora near you then you can buy from trusted websites such as StyleKorean and YesStyle. I am affiliates of those brands aka I get commision if you used my link, but you're not limited to those two websites. The price of this cleanser is similar/cheaper when compared to Sephora.

    Thoughts
This cleanser is gentle on my skin which had been sensitive at the time of use and didn't strip my skin from its natural oil. This surprised me since every foam cleanser I have tried dried out my skin.
cleansers. It didn't break me out and removes light makeup pretty decent. One pump is all that's really needed. Don't overdo it. This cleanser is good for double cleansing in the water-based cleansing stage as well.

    Recommend
    -Looking for a non-drying cleansing
    -Interested in natural ingredients
    -K-Beauty curiosity

While walking down the streets of Myeongdong, people were handing out free sheet mask. I didn't realize it was free, until the last day. You just have to walk inside the store, browse and leave with the sheet mask. [Of course, you could always make a purchase.] The whole purpose is to attract new customer since they have to compete with so many cosmetic stores and even sometimes store of the same brand.

If you're wondering, I wasn't sent this product. My blog is like a little baby.

    CURRENT SKIN CONDITION: DRY/SENSITIVE/DESERT

I stuck the mask in the fridge for a few minutes and popped it on my face. It gives off a nice cooling sensation perfect for the heat.

My skin didn't have any reaction to the sheet mask. When I took it off, my face was well-hydrated throughout the day. The only thing I do have to say is that the essence was much thicker than I was expecting. It didn't fully soak into my skin and gave me that dewy look. In my personal opinion, I feel like this mask is best suited for a pamper yourself night routine. I prefer using a product that lies on the lighter spectrum in the morning plus you're probably wearing makeup as well. This is just my personal preference.

2 plane rides. 24 hours. I'm finally in South Korea. The motherland of K-Beauty which is what my blog generates around. I headed to Missha to pick up some stuff and picked up this sheet mask which was a steal. 10,000 won for 25 sheet mask.

Aloe Vera is obviously the star of the show in term of ingredients. The benefits of Aloe Vera is it's hydrating and calming. It also helps with acne.

Ingredients List: Aloe Barbadenis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Butlene Glycol, Alcohol Denat, Caprylyl Glyco,Allanton,Eriobotrya Japonica Leaf Extract, Hydrolyzed Jojoba Esters, Carbomer, Betaine, Phenyl Trimethicone, Disodium Edta, Peg-40 Hydrogenerated Castor Oil, Caprylhyrdroxamic Acide, Hydroxyethlylcelluose, Sodium Hyaluraonate, Trideceth-9, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sucrose, Water, Mineral Salts, Triethanolamine, Chlorphensein, Fragrance

    Where To Purchase
    Beautique

This sheet mask is a decent mask, It soaks into the skin fairly quickly and my face doesn't feel sticky after use. It has a pleasant floral fragrance but is not overpowering. Although, keep the fact this product has fragrance in mind. It didn't irritate my face nor did I have any bad reaction though.
It did give my skin the needed hydration. I would re-purchase for a quick pick me up.

Dang, this lip gloss is expensive! This week review will be about the Marc Jacob Lip Gloss in the Shade Sugar Sugar. I have a sample size. Now onwards to the review!

    Claims:

Marc Jacobs Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer Lipgloss claims to deliver maximum color and brilliance with its shine. It won't smudge and give you a high shine impact. It's has a non-sticky formal and is long lasting color.

    Packaging:

The packaging is oh-so-gorgeous and luxurious.  It has a unique geometrical shape to it which I'm quite a foud off. Despite my product being a sample, it has a decent weight to it. When I first saw the applicator, I was surprised and semy-confused as I never really used this type of applicator lipstick. It was easy to apply though once I got the hang of it on the 2nd try. It has a nice mint smell it and is moisturizing.

    Swatch: Sugar Sugar

    Thoughts:

The Marc Jacob Lip gloss is a pretty good quality lip gloss which is what you would hope considering a full-size of this lipgloss is $28. It felt comfortable and moisturizing on my lips which is a plus, especially in the cold season. The gloss is not over-whelming sticky where you'll notice strings when you try to talk and it has a decent amount of time.

I don't like the shade sugar-sugar on me. I have a fair complexion and sugar-sugar is to light for my complexion. I prefer using it as a lip topper than a stand-alone gloss.

I don't believe that it is necessary to spend $28 on a single lip gloss. If you want to treat yourself to some nice luxury goods and you happen to like lip glosses than knock yourself out. With that said, there are more affordable options that are just as good.

This is one of the most raved foundations in the K-Beauty world. People have been comparing this foundation to the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup Foundation. I haven't tried the Double Wear Foundation, so I can't say much about that. I tested this foundation in the harsh winter weather for a week! I did not powder the foundation and used the primer  Here's my in-depth review.

This product claims to be a lightweight,  perfect coverage and a long-lasting foundation. Let's see if it lives up to the name

    Packaging+

It comes in an adorable rectangular box that has both Korean and English direction which is always a plus. The top tab of the box tells you the shade the product is in.  If you're wondering, I got the shade tan which is suppose to be similar to shade 23 because I know Korean foundation runs light. I'm absolutely horrific at shade matching myself and the product is an online exclusive of Etude House which doesn't help my case. I managed to somewhat match my shade right. Me and my fellow Asian friend who is a similar skin tone like to joke around and say we're Asian tan. I guess we were right because in Korean Foundation I'm in the shade than when I hella light compared to an actual tan complexion.
The foundation comes in a frosted weighted bottle with a pump. Yes, a pump! In the front, it tells you the standard foundation name and all and in the back, it tells you the shade.

    Shade Ranges/Swatch
In this foundation line, there are as you can see 8 shades available. It's best you go by shades swatches instead of the foundation name as the foundation name. Ex. Tan is not a real tan shade.

Where to Buy (May receive a small commission)
    YESSTYLE: $21.07
    STYLEKOREAN $20.19

    Details/Thoughts: Raved for good reason

The foundation gives a semi-matte finish. The foundation is a bit drying on my skin. It is a matte foundation and I do have dry skin.  If you have dry skin like myself, you can moisturize your skin or use a hydrating primer. The foundation will work for those who have oily or combination skin type.

The coverage is medium to high. It covers my redness with one layer with my hyper-pigmentation peaking through. You can always build up the foundation if you want that full-full coverage. It's easy to blend with a brush or a sponge. The foundation doesn't look cakey yet at the same time, it doesn't look natural on the skin. It does oxidize throughout the day which is annoying. The product has a floral scent which can be overwhelming.

It's lightweight on the skin like the foundation claims to be. The texture of the product is liquidly. The foundation is long lasting and will last a night out with friends or school. It will get a bit shiny throughout the day and you will need to blot it though.  I did notice it does break down a little after like 9 hours or when I get oily. I do recommend using a powder, a decent primer that is meant to keep your makeup in place (mine was for blurring)  and use a setting spray.

I WOULD NOT buy this foundation again because it's not best suited for my skin type.  If you have oily/combination skin I think this is a wonderful foundation for you. I can see why there's a lot of hype around it. It does lives up to its claims for the most part.

This foundation would be wonderful in a humid climate or in summer.  This foundation would work wonderfully for those with oily skin or combo. skin types. If you have dry skin like myself and want to try this out then make sure you use a hydrating primer and moisturize your skin.

If I was to rate this product, I would give it a 3/5. I would wear this foundation again if it's only for a short period of time if I want that coverage since it does dry out my skin. I wish they did extend the shade range and for it to be in stores. I find it incredibly mind-blowing that a store will make a foundation online exclusive since you need to shade match and you run the risk of getting the wrong shade and returning it.

It's nearly the end of the year and I'm speechless which is pretty rare since I talk a mile a minute. The holidays are quickly approaching and ending meaning it's gonna be a new year which filled with uncertainty.

Three years ago, I would have never imagined that this would be my life. I would bluntly tell you that you were lying and to stop fooling around. I would have never believed that I would be sitting at a table filled with all my friends. I remember when I was a "senior" in middle school, one of my friends wrote something in the lines that I should make friends. I didn't have many friends in middle school. I was a pretty shy, awkward, and introverted person.

It didn't help that I suffered from in a way cyberbullying. depression and other stuff. Around 7th, I fell into a depression where my life consisted of crying throughout my school day, skipping lunch and starving and just wanting it to end. My good friends moved and one of my friends that were still in the school told me so I guess you could say distance myself from the group. I guess it made sense at that time to distance myself, so I did. I sat at the edge of the table far from them. I cried and pressed my head down leaving red marks. I'm not going to go into detail of everything for now anyway.

It kinda breaks my heart and makes me a bit teary-eyed recalling my youth. Middle school truly does live up to its name and has been an adventure that will haunt me in my dreams and make me laugh time to time. It was a time of understanding who you were as a person and well I sadly didn't have a choice other than probe around my crumbling mentality.

The whole point is that sometimes heading into something new whether it be a new year or even a fresh mentality can be a good thing rather than negative just because it's filled with uncertainty. You just to have hope and it helps if you have a flashlight to guide the way.

It has been around 6 months since I have seriously tried to keep constantly posting on this blog and it means a lot when anyone checks out my blog for the very first time or for the tenth time. I couldn't imagine that I would get views all around from the world even if it's one. I do cherish them and I remember there was a time where I would write all the new countries down for keepsakes.  I find it amazing when countries around the world that don't have English as a dominant language check out my website and I find it more amazing that places, where my family is from like Vietnam, view my blog. It gives you a warm feeling inside. Thank you for all of your support!!! Follow my Instagram: thefallenwaddles. Til next year or til lunar new years.

Ever since I did my review on the Cosrx Good Morning PH cleanser, I couldn't wait to get my hands on another COSRX product. With my desire to try out products from the brand gave birth to this review.

    Claims
This product claims to effectively eliminate those pesky dry flakes  Also, it prevents blackheads and whiteheads from forming. It's infused with natural acne-fighting acids to help those struggling with acne. It's supposed to help control excess oil and sebum while nourishing and hydrating depleted skin with essential vitamins.

    Packaging
It comes in a standard cardboard box. I liked how in the top flab of the box it says, "Expecting Today," when you open it which I thought was aesthetically pleasing. The product comes in of course a spray bottle which sprays a fine mist.

    Detail
It's a clear and lightweight product. The texture is comparable to splashing water on your face.  Also, there about 5.9 fl oz of product.

    Ingredient List:
Water, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Water, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Water, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Lactate, Glycolic Acid, Betaine Salicylate, Allantoin, Panthenol, Ethyl Hexanediol.

    Where To Purchase: AFFILIATE LINKS
    StyleKorean -$14.13
    YesStyle - $13.16

    Thoughts:

Skin Condition: Painful and Stubborn Acne

Since I started to use this product, I notice my acne calmed down and reduced in numbers which was great. I didn't see any improvements with my pre-existing blackheads at all that I noticed. I do know that there is a product from COSRX that is specifically designed to combat blackheads though. I didn't notice any moisturizing aspect of this toner which perhaps might be a result of the brutal New York weather.

There were no reactions to this toner what so ever. It was a great gentle exfoliator.

I recommend this product for all skin type especially if you're suffering from acne. I noticed my skin was clearer and smoother throughout the weeks I've been using it. It saddens me to know that I must re-purchase this once again after I accidentally spilled mine.
