Once again featuring Chanel skincare in my blog. If you read any of them, they generally disappoint me. Let's see if this anti-pollution sunscreen is a disappointment!:)

    -Best SPF for intense sun.

    Packaging
It has a sleek white packaging with black font. Very minimalistic. You have to squeeze the product out. The bottle itself is pretty small that you can easily throw into your bag to reapply sunscreen.

    Where To Purchase
    Chanel $55

    Thoughts
Why is this so expensive??? Oh, wait this is Chanel. Gotta pay for the ink that spells out Chanel :D TBH. The sunscreen is lightweight and does have a fragrance that's typical to any Chanel skincare I've tried. I'm not a fan of it as it's overwhelming. A little does go long way. There is a white cast. If you're not a fan of white cast steer clear of this.

Is it worth it? No. Then again I'm a broke human. If I was being honest, I prefer the Missha sunscreen than this one. If you like being bougie and have money to spend. Then buy this I guess?  It's not terrible if you don't mind scents or white cast. It does protect the skin and didn't break me out which is a yay moment. But is it necessary to be dropping $55 on sunscreen? Nope

While walking down the streets of Myeongdong, people were handing out free sheet mask. I didn't realize it was free, until the last day. You just have to walk inside the store, browse and leave with the sheet mask. [Of course, you could always make a purchase.] The whole purpose is to attract new customer since they have to compete with so many cosmetic stores and even sometimes store of the same brand.

If you're wondering, I wasn't sent this product. My blog is like a little baby.

    CURRENT SKIN CONDITION: DRY/SENSITIVE/DESERT

I stuck the mask in the fridge for a few minutes and popped it on my face. It gives off a nice cooling sensation perfect for the heat.

My skin didn't have any reaction to the sheet mask. When I took it off, my face was well-hydrated throughout the day. The only thing I do have to say is that the essence was much thicker than I was expecting. It didn't fully soak into my skin and gave me that dewy look. In my personal opinion, I feel like this mask is best suited for a pamper yourself night routine. I prefer using a product that lies on the lighter spectrum in the morning plus you're probably wearing makeup as well. This is just my personal preference.

Dang, this lip gloss is expensive! This week review will be about the Marc Jacob Lip Gloss in the Shade Sugar Sugar. I have a sample size. Now onwards to the review!

    Claims:

Marc Jacobs Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer Lipgloss claims to deliver maximum color and brilliance with its shine. It won't smudge and give you a high shine impact. It's has a non-sticky formal and is long lasting color.

    Packaging:

The packaging is oh-so-gorgeous and luxurious.  It has a unique geometrical shape to it which I'm quite a foud off. Despite my product being a sample, it has a decent weight to it. When I first saw the applicator, I was surprised and semy-confused as I never really used this type of applicator lipstick. It was easy to apply though once I got the hang of it on the 2nd try. It has a nice mint smell it and is moisturizing.

    Swatch: Sugar Sugar

    Thoughts:

The Marc Jacob Lip gloss is a pretty good quality lip gloss which is what you would hope considering a full-size of this lipgloss is $28. It felt comfortable and moisturizing on my lips which is a plus, especially in the cold season. The gloss is not over-whelming sticky where you'll notice strings when you try to talk and it has a decent amount of time.

I don't like the shade sugar-sugar on me. I have a fair complexion and sugar-sugar is to light for my complexion. I prefer using it as a lip topper than a stand-alone gloss.

I don't believe that it is necessary to spend $28 on a single lip gloss. If you want to treat yourself to some nice luxury goods and you happen to like lip glosses than knock yourself out. With that said, there are more affordable options that are just as good.

This is one of the most raved foundations in the K-Beauty world. People have been comparing this foundation to the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup Foundation. I haven't tried the Double Wear Foundation, so I can't say much about that. I tested this foundation in the harsh winter weather for a week! I did not powder the foundation and used the primer  Here's my in-depth review.

This product claims to be a lightweight,  perfect coverage and a long-lasting foundation. Let's see if it lives up to the name

    Packaging+

It comes in an adorable rectangular box that has both Korean and English direction which is always a plus. The top tab of the box tells you the shade the product is in.  If you're wondering, I got the shade tan which is suppose to be similar to shade 23 because I know Korean foundation runs light. I'm absolutely horrific at shade matching myself and the product is an online exclusive of Etude House which doesn't help my case. I managed to somewhat match my shade right. Me and my fellow Asian friend who is a similar skin tone like to joke around and say we're Asian tan. I guess we were right because in Korean Foundation I'm in the shade than when I hella light compared to an actual tan complexion.
The foundation comes in a frosted weighted bottle with a pump. Yes, a pump! In the front, it tells you the standard foundation name and all and in the back, it tells you the shade.

    Shade Ranges/Swatch
In this foundation line, there are as you can see 8 shades available. It's best you go by shades swatches instead of the foundation name as the foundation name. Ex. Tan is not a real tan shade.

Where to Buy (May receive a small commission)
    YESSTYLE: $21.07
    STYLEKOREAN $20.19

    Details/Thoughts: Raved for good reason

The foundation gives a semi-matte finish. The foundation is a bit drying on my skin. It is a matte foundation and I do have dry skin.  If you have dry skin like myself, you can moisturize your skin or use a hydrating primer. The foundation will work for those who have oily or combination skin type.

The coverage is medium to high. It covers my redness with one layer with my hyper-pigmentation peaking through. You can always build up the foundation if you want that full-full coverage. It's easy to blend with a brush or a sponge. The foundation doesn't look cakey yet at the same time, it doesn't look natural on the skin. It does oxidize throughout the day which is annoying. The product has a floral scent which can be overwhelming.

It's lightweight on the skin like the foundation claims to be. The texture of the product is liquidly. The foundation is long lasting and will last a night out with friends or school. It will get a bit shiny throughout the day and you will need to blot it though.  I did notice it does break down a little after like 9 hours or when I get oily. I do recommend using a powder, a decent primer that is meant to keep your makeup in place (mine was for blurring)  and use a setting spray.

I WOULD NOT buy this foundation again because it's not best suited for my skin type.  If you have oily/combination skin I think this is a wonderful foundation for you. I can see why there's a lot of hype around it. It does lives up to its claims for the most part.

This foundation would be wonderful in a humid climate or in summer.  This foundation would work wonderfully for those with oily skin or combo. skin types. If you have dry skin like myself and want to try this out then make sure you use a hydrating primer and moisturize your skin.

If I was to rate this product, I would give it a 3/5. I would wear this foundation again if it's only for a short period of time if I want that coverage since it does dry out my skin. I wish they did extend the shade range and for it to be in stores. I find it incredibly mind-blowing that a store will make a foundation online exclusive since you need to shade match and you run the risk of getting the wrong shade and returning it.

Ever since I did my review on the Cosrx Good Morning PH cleanser, I couldn't wait to get my hands on another COSRX product. With my desire to try out products from the brand gave birth to this review.

    Claims
This product claims to effectively eliminate those pesky dry flakes  Also, it prevents blackheads and whiteheads from forming. It's infused with natural acne-fighting acids to help those struggling with acne. It's supposed to help control excess oil and sebum while nourishing and hydrating depleted skin with essential vitamins.

    Packaging
It comes in a standard cardboard box. I liked how in the top flab of the box it says, "Expecting Today," when you open it which I thought was aesthetically pleasing. The product comes in of course a spray bottle which sprays a fine mist.

    Detail
It's a clear and lightweight product. The texture is comparable to splashing water on your face.  Also, there about 5.9 fl oz of product.

    Ingredient List:
Water, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Water, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Water, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Lactate, Glycolic Acid, Betaine Salicylate, Allantoin, Panthenol, Ethyl Hexanediol.

    Where To Purchase: AFFILIATE LINKS
    StyleKorean -$14.13
    YesStyle - $13.16

    Thoughts:

Skin Condition: Painful and Stubborn Acne

Since I started to use this product, I notice my acne calmed down and reduced in numbers which was great. I didn't see any improvements with my pre-existing blackheads at all that I noticed. I do know that there is a product from COSRX that is specifically designed to combat blackheads though. I didn't notice any moisturizing aspect of this toner which perhaps might be a result of the brutal New York weather.

There were no reactions to this toner what so ever. It was a great gentle exfoliator.

I recommend this product for all skin type especially if you're suffering from acne. I noticed my skin was clearer and smoother throughout the weeks I've been using it. It saddens me to know that I must re-purchase this once again after I accidentally spilled mine.

The serum I'll be reviewing is the Chanel Hydrate Beauty Serum. This serum was quite expensive, to be honest. It was $135 for 1.7 fluid ounces. Let's be honest anything branded with the Chanel logo is going to cost a pretty penny. It does not mean that the product is guaranteed to be wonderful. I'm not saying this to be negative towards the brand, but I know some people have this mindset where anything luxurious and expensive is automatically good. In fact, my mom is one of those people which is why I have access to this serum. Also, I've tried some of Chanel expensive skincare product and well... they weren't what I hoped they would be, more on that later.

    Claims
The Chanel Hydra Beauty Serum is a fresh and smoothing serum that is ideal for all skin types. It moisturizes, comforts, protects and boosts overall radiance.

    Ingredients

Water, Alcohol, Isohexadecane, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, PEG/PPG/Polybutylene Glycol-8/5/3 Glycerin, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Sodium PCA, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Dimethicone, Isononyl Isononanoate, Camellia Japonica Flower Extract, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Olus (Vegetable Oil), Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, HDI/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Parfum, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Acrylates C/10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Thermus Thermophillus Ferment, PEG-12, Camelina Sativa Seed Oil, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Methylparaben, Hyaluronic Acid, Silanetriol, Silica, Propylparaben, Citric Acid, Sorbic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Biotin

    Details
The serum costs $135 for 17 fl.oz which breaks down to about $2.70 per milliliter (ml). It has this floral scent to this product and I notice that a lot of Chanel or if not all there product has a fragrance. I'm not really fond of this particular scent because I found it a bit overwhelming.  The product is clear and is lightweight.

    Thoughts:
This product is lightweight and is hydrating. I will like to say that this will not give me the hydration I need for the winter, and the hydration level for me at least was meh. It wasn't a holy grail items and just reminds me of their previous items that I've tried that failed to impress me like the Mousse Confort rinse-off foaming cream cleanser which gave me that pore-tightening feeling which is an indicator that this product is quite drying on my skin and the Le Blanc brightening tri-phase makeup remover which wasn't the best at removing my makeup. If you are sensitive to fragrance then don't get this. Look somewhere else. You will most likely find a better serum than this at a better price point.

This would work for people who have normal to oily skin or anyone who just needs a bit of moisture.
However, if your skin is dry or sensitive don't get this. It won't do much in term of hydration and it could end up irritating your skin. This serum overall is best suited for the summer time rather than the winter.  You will need something more moisturizing.
