I went into Nordstrom and randomly got a CLINIQUE Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam.
I needed a solution for my acne and this was what the counter of Clinique recommended. When I bought this I was not aware that this was in steps like Proactive nor was I fully informed that this was well you'll see in my thoughts. Long story short, I was annoyed. Wait before I go to the review follow my   Instagram thefallenwaddles and comment what type of posts you'll like to see in the blog please thanks.

The product comes in an aqua plastic container and a white pump. With some cleansing foam I have used, the liquid just leaks out from it or it just won't work. I didn't have a problem with this pump. The product comes up as a white foam. The amount of product that you receive is 4.2 Fl.OZ.LIQ/124 ml. If you're someone who is particular to smell, I will have to say it oddly smelled like rubbing alcohol for me. Also, this is step 1 in their acne solution line.

This product claims to be suitable for all skin types including dry and acne prone. It will prevent and clear acne. While gently removing the dirt and excess oil in your skin. It will leave your skin feeling soft, smooth and comfortable when you washed it out. Apparently, it will reduce any active blemishes you have by 37% with continuous uses over the past 3 days. Also, it is allergy tested,non-acnegenic, and is free of oil and fragrance.

My thoughts This was not the ideal product for me to compact my acne for a few reason. While using this product, I noticed my skin was getting dry. I used this for 2-4 days in the morning and night and saw that skin condition worsening. My skin started to flake off in the area like around my smile line and nose. My skin felt irritated from the dryness which felt uncomfortable this still occurred when I used it every other day.  I was not aware that this was step one out of XXX steps since when I bought this the woman didn't inform this to me which I wish she did...

Do keep in mind that my skin type is different from you, so products that won't work on my might work on you.

After a week of good old exploration under the jungle of tourist and trash that makes up New York City, my skin is cruddy. You'll think I'll be used to these type of condition considering I live here, but nope. In an attempt to save my skin from a swarm of breakout, I went to a Sephora- well my mother did and bought this set.

    Details:

This duo contains a 2oz Vitamin C/Peptides Resurfacing Crystals and a  2oz/ 59.1 Lactic Salicylic Activating Gel. It cost $60 without tax. The crystal is a vibrant orange color and the gel is quite clear. When combined it creates a white foam.

    Claims
The crystal is supposed to gently rejuvenate and revitalize the skin. The gel is supposed to help with the appearance of pores, fine lines, wrinkles and provide a secondary exfoliation. The duo works together to resurface the skin, help with any sun damage, hyper-pigmentation and aging skin.

    Direction

    Step 1 * Vitamin C/Peptide Resurfacing Crystals*

-Apply teaspoon amount to clean, dry skin like a mask
-In circular motion gently rub the product across skin for about 60 seconds. Make sure to avoid eye area and to not overdo it.

Step 2 Lactic/Salicylic Acid Activating Gel

Get a teaspoon amount of gel in hand
    Message gel into fingertips
Apply over the crystals (warm sensation is normal and white foam indicates activation)
Leave foam on for about 2-3 minutes
Message for an extra exfoliation if desired or leave it alone if you have sensitive skin.
Rinse thoroughly or wipe away with a washcloth.

    THOUGHTS

I've been using this duo for more than a month and I will say I like it. After using it, my face feels soft, moisturized and clean.  I noticed my old acne scars started to fade which I was quite happy more. I didn't notice any changes in my pore size which were disappointing. Overall, this is a nice product, but I don't think I'll be re-purchasing this particular item again. I think that there are better exfoliators in the market that are more affordable with better results. I wish they didn't only have it available as a duo. I think the gel will run out faster than the crystals which is an issue since the duo is $60. Also, if you have sensitive skin I don't think the product will be the one for you. If you do pick it up though, make sure to be gentle.

I'm laying down on my lopsided bed with my dog snuggling next to me eagerly awaiting her 5th birthday.
My little puppy (I still call her a puppy) is turning 5 tomorrow!
     The tears though.

Then yesterday my brother turned 18. Normally people would have all these feeling and brawl their eyes out, but honestly I'm gonna be extra. I mean I almost cried at his freezing cold gradation. But I'm not gonna be extra to care that my brother is going to college and growing up.  It's not one of those situation where he is moving to another city/state.
Am I just a horrible human being or can anyone relate? Comment cause I was told something in this manner, "You don't seem to care your brother going to college. Cry or clap or something." By an acquaintance I guess?

Let's talk about the pastel elephant in the room if that's how the saying goes. I have changed the tittle of this blog. From Periwinkleastralz to Wistful beauty.

Hidden in a closet would be all the reason why I had to change the blog names. But  I'll tell you the ones that existed in my minds that prompted me to make this decisions.

I felt like the name periwinkleastralz was a naive name. One that I would come to regret choosing as I progress in the future. If I were to keep blogging 4 years from now, I would be sitting in a college dorm wondering what the hell I was thinking.

I wanted to staple what this blog was about. Periwinkleastralz doesn't say anything about it. It surely tells you a color and an astronomy term astral which is mispronounced. But so what? There no context  on what this blog is about.

Those are briefly the reason why i wanted to change the name which I did.

Wistful Beauty is suppose to represent a vague sense/ longing of beauty.
I feel like people of all age long to be a better version of themselves and let that beauty shine. Also that there is no set decision of beauty. Everyone has a different beauty standard which is shown across the globe.

Today, I'm going to be reviewing the Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Polish. If you haven't heard of Laura Mercier it's a popular makeup brand that is well known for having several cult favorites like the Laura Mercier  Translucent Loose Setting Powder. What you might have not known is the brand not only have makeup product but also have skin care products! I don't really see it's skin care product really talked about out on youtube or any way in that matter. I decided to test it out. Check out my social media accounts which is listed at the end of the post, now let's begin!

✿Laura Mercier  Flawless Skin Polish is $32 US Dollar. It contains 3.4 OZ/100 grams of product which is like $10 per OZ. The product from first glance didn't look like it actually has micro beads inside of it, but when you rub into your skin you could feel it and it has a creamy texture when you massage it into your skin. Also, it's suitable for all skin type and is dermatologist tested

✿Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Polish claims to cleanse and exfoliates the skin. It also claims to help remove dead skin cells with purifying micro beads, while emollient soften the skin. It's suitable for all skin type and is dermatologist tested.✿

INGRIENDENTS: Aqua (Water), Polyethylene, Butylene Glycol, Glyercyl Stearate SE, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Sodium C12-15 Pareth-15 Sulfonate, Cetyl Alcohol, PEG-2 Cocamide, Cetearyl Alcohol, Triethanolamine, Jojoba Esters, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, Polyquaternium-39, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Phenoxyethanol, Ceteareth-20, Methylparaben, Carbomer, Titanium Dioxide, Parfum (Fragrance), Avena Sativa Kernel Flour (Oat) Kernel Flour, Disodium EDTA, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Propylene Glycol, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Rosa Canina Flower Extract, Salvia Officinalis Leaf Extract (Sage) Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract, Methylisothiazolinone, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Magnesium Nitrate, Magnesium Chloride, Linalool, Geraniol Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Citronellol, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Alcohol, Isoeugenol, Benzyl Salicylate, Limonene, CI 14700 (Red 4), CI 19140 (Yellow 5), CI 15985 (Yellow 6).

✿The direction is to place a small amount on your fingertips. Then gently massage it into dampened skin. Lastly, rinse with warm water.✿

This exfoliator is gentle on the skin yet effective which some gentle exfoliator doesn't do. If you had a sensitive skin type I feel like you would like this, because it isn't harsh and quite gentle. It won't irritate your skin when you massage this into your skin. This did not break me out which was good and it didn't disrupt my active acne bumps. After using this, my skin felt quite soft.

Hello! The product that I'm gonna be reviewing today is the Jeju Volcanic Lava Peel-Off Clay Nose Mask from the brand The Face Shop. The FaceShop originates from South Korea and Korea skincare products are famously known for having advanced skincare innovation to achieve that flawless skin.

This is one of my first Korean skincare product, so finger-crossed that it works out.

    Claims
The Jeju Volcanic Peel-Off Clay Nose Mask claims to target blackheads, impurities, and grease that lingers deep in your pores with volcanic clay. It's supposed to clear your pores and help control excess sebum production.

    Description
The tube contains 50 gram of product. The packaging isn't anything special and is quite plain. The product itself is white and has a sticky and thick consistency.

    Direction

Steam your face to open the pores
    Cleanse your face
Apply an even and thick layer of the product across clean and dry skin
Wait for 10-15 minutes and peel off

    Thoughts
It did take out some blackheads and my face felt softer. However, it was painful to take off. I had little tears dropping down. This is something to consider especially when you have a lot of hair in your face. I found the pain worst than the Elivavecca Milky Piggy Hell-Pore Clean Up mask which people described as the peel mask from hell. The product is difficult to apply. You really need to coat this product on your face to get a decent rip from it. The problem I have with this mask is that it's hard to layer the product on your skin since it's so sticky that when you try the product just attracts to your fingers and becomes patchy. The product didn't do much and I didn't notice a tremendous difference.

Overall, I wouldn't rebuy this product again. I don't think it's worth it. The cons overweight the pros

After endless months, summer has arrived. We all know that this means tropical vacations and trips to the nearby beach. It is overwhelming process knowing what to pack for such occasion and if it's needed. Here are 4 items that will cool you down+ protect you from UV rays. Subscribe for more beauty+life posts!

                                                     ➳ нαт➳

Wearing a hat is crucial during the summer. It gives your head shade so your hair won't be exposed to the UV rays. This means your hair won't be hot when you merely touch it. Does anyone else get that type of problems? It helps protect your eyes from harmful UV rays and makes it easier to see when you don't have access to a pair of sunglasses.

                                                                               ➳  fαи➳

Fans are aesthetically pleasing (at least for me) to have and will give you a nice and gentle breeze. They aren't big or bulky, so you can slip it into your purse and take it out when you need a breeze. Here a tip, put some water in the preferred area like your arms and fan away. It helps cool you so much faster. I recommend not getting one of those cheap plastic ones in Chinatown, they break easily.

                                                                        ➳   ѕυηѕ¢яєєη ➳

I'm that type of person who dabs on an extra touch of sunscreen before leaving to go outside for gym and exercise. I'm that type of girl that leaves a bottle of sunscreen in my bookbag.I'm that extra. Sunscreen protects you from the hazard of UV  rays which damage your skin. Sunburn is only a single fraction of the damage they do. Sunscreen helps lighten sunscreen by helping with the dark spots which can worsen with the contact in the sun. Here a tip reapplies every 2-3 hours.

Comment down below if you want me to go more in depth with why it's important.

                                                                             ➳ ѕнα∂єѕ➳

A pair of shades is literally every girl's best accessory for the summertime. They're fashionable and makes an outfit looks more complete. Plus if you don't feel like doing your eye makeup. No one gonna notice. You also protect your eyes from the UV Rays which can irritation and blur vision. If you have prescription glasses meaning you are somewhat blind and need your glasses to see. Then talk to your eye doctor or walk in a store and order one.
