Review: [The Face Shop] Jeju Volcanic Lava Peel-Off Clay Nose Mask

by - July 09, 2017

Hello! The product that I'm gonna be reviewing today is the Jeju Volcanic Lava Peel-Off Clay Nose Mask from the brand The Face Shop. The FaceShop originates from South Korea and Korea skincare products are famously known for having advanced skincare innovation to achieve that flawless skin.

This is one of my first Korean skincare product, so finger-crossed that it works out.

Claims
The Jeju Volcanic Peel-Off Clay Nose Mask claims to target blackheads, impurities, and grease that lingers deep in your pores with volcanic clay. It's supposed to clear your pores and help control excess sebum production.

Description
The tube contains 50 gram of product. The packaging isn't anything special and is quite plain. The product itself is white and has a sticky and thick consistency.

Direction

Steam your face to open the pores
Cleanse your face
Apply an even and thick layer of the product across clean and dry skin
Wait for 10-15 minutes and peel off

Thoughts
It did take out some blackheads and my face felt softer. However, it was painful to take off. I had little tears dropping down. This is something to consider especially when you have a lot of hair in your face. I found the pain worst than the Elivavecca Milky Piggy Hell-Pore Clean Up mask which people described as the peel mask from hell. The product is difficult to apply. You really need to coat this product on your face to get a decent rip from it. The problem I have with this mask is that it's hard to layer the product on your skin since it's so sticky that when you try the product just attracts to your fingers and becomes patchy. The product didn't do much and I didn't notice a tremendous difference.

Overall, I wouldn't rebuy this product again. I don't think it's worth it. The cons overweight the pros
